by Pu on July 9, 2010

Reykjavík’s harbor area is going to turn into an art district for a week. The event, organized by Warsaw’s Raster Gallery is called Villa Reykjavík and it’s going to take place from the 9th to the 16th of July. Fourteen European art galleries are going to establish their headquarters and open their doors at various venues around the port. Exhibitions and performances of various genres are going to be held and will be free to attend for everybody. Live music is also going to be an important part of the event, with even an extemporaneous band formed especially for the occasion whose members belong to different renowned local bands.

The complete program of the manifestation can be found in bars and cafés in downtown and is also available online at the official Villa Reykjavík site. You can also follow updates and news regarding the event by subscribing to the Villa Reykjavík Facebook page.
