Reykjavík Gay Pride 5th – 8th August 2010

by Pu on August 5, 2010

Starting today and ending with a bang later this Sunday, the famous Reykjavík Gay Pride is back and ready to take over the capital this first week of August.

The Reykjavík Gay Pride was established back in 1999 and has become since one of the most important yearly appointments in town. Thousands of people of all kinds and nationalities are expected to be here to take part in this year’s celebrations, that will include among other things the colorful Parade passing through main street and the free outdoor concert held in the city center. Many other events and activities, from cruises to dance parties, are going to entertain attenders at various venues. If you like crowds and grand celebrations, you’ll find something you can get your teeth and flashy laquered nails into.

The official program is available in English at the official Reykjavík Gay Pride’s site.
