Festival du Film Francophone 2011

by Pu on January 20, 2011

Alliance Française and the French and the Canadian Embassies in Iceland, together with Græna Ljósið and Háskólabíó, present the 11th edition of the Festival du Film Francophone. The festival is going to take place at the Háskólabíó in Reykjavík from January 21 to February 3; it will then move to Akureyri during the period between the 12th and 16th of February.

Aimed at promoting French cinema in Iceland, this year’s festival will be mainly focused on exploring the theme of diversity, with films on the issue of minorities and their role in our society. All the works in program will anyway reflect more in general on human relations and their complexity.

In the occasion of the 50th anniversary of this great classic, Godard’s À bout de souffle is also going to be screened as a part of this year’s event.
