Reykjavík Winter Lights Festival 11-13 February 2011

by Pu on February 10, 2011

Reykjavík Winter Lights Festival will begin this Friday with the Museum Night, in which more than thirty art galleries and museums will remain open for free to visitors till midnight. Exhibitions, concerts, lectures and more are going to be held throughout the whole capital’s area. On the next day, February 12, in occasion of the International Children’s Day, themed workshops, shows and tours will be welcoming children of all ages. Finally, on the last day of the festival — Valentine’s Day’s eve, anyone? — on a day dedicated to love, a manifestation will take place in Austurvöllur at 5:30 pm. A parade with torches and a concert at the Tjörnin will follow to close this year’s celebrations.

In the official brochure, courtesy of VisitReykjavik.is, you will be able to read a detailed program featuring all the scheduled events and their venues.

You can read more about the festival at the event’s webpage.
